STOCKTON 99 SPEEDWAY HAS ANNOUNCED THAT CALIFORNIA HOTWOOD WILL POST A SPECIAL POINT FUND FOR. THE NEW "NASCAR HOTWOOD 1000" TO BE CONDUCTED AT THE 61 YEAR OLD SPEEDWAY DURING THE 2006 SEASON.
THE "HOTWOOD 1000" WILL CONSIST OF TEN 100 LAP WESTERN LATE MODEL RACES STARTING WITH THE SEASON OPENER SUNDAY AFTERNOON APRIL 2, 2006 AND CONCLUDING WITH THE LAST RACE EVER AT THE OLD FAMED HIGH BANKED PAVED SPEED FACILITY ON SATURDAY NIGHT SEPTEMBER 16, 2006. JM ENVIRONMENTAL AND HAVOLINE WILL ALSO JOIN THE SPECIAL SERIES AS ASSOCIATE SPONSORS. THE TEN RACES WILL BE PART OF THE REGULAR SEASON SCHEDULE WHICH WILL INCLUDE 22 DAYS/NIGHTS OF RACING AND 21 FOR THE WESTERN LATE MODEL NASCAR DODGE WEEKLY SERIES CHAMPIONSHIP DIVISION, THE OVERALL STOCKTON CHAMPION STANDS AN EXCELLENT CHANCE TO WIN THE DIVISION II TITLE, ONE OF FOUR IN THE NATION AND THE KEY TO A CHANCE AT THE NASCAR DODGE WEEKLY SERIES NATIONAL CHAMPION TITLE.
