With seven season of racing under his belt since his start in 1996, this 25-year old Stockton driver finally realized his dream of a division title in 2002. His season consisted of 2 fast times, 3 dash wins, 2 main wins, and a division best of 14 main top five’s, running all 17 events for the year in his Dave Davis Motorsports built Grand Am.
Danny has never been outside the top ten in season points since his start, running 10th in 96, 7th in 97, 8th in 98, 5th in 99, 3rd in 2000, and 6th in 2001. His career stats include 2 fast times, 4 heat wins, 3 dash wins, 4 main wins, and 52 main top five finishes. He has 74 total top finishes in all events entered.
As the 2002 season ended, Danny, a Delta College grad, worked as an Insurance Rep and also enjoyed bowling and basketball along with his racing efforts. Danny and his dad Geano do all their own setup and fabrication work in their own shop with help from the crew consisting of Jim Litwin, Dave Davis, Bill Goodeyon, and of course "Mom & Dad."
His sponsors for the title season consisted of B & R Racing Engines of Stockton, Dave Davis Motor Sports, Off Road Enterprises, and Manteca Auto Parts.
Danny took the season point lead on July 20th and ran a tight battle to the final event of the season on September 21st, staying out of trouble to finish fourth and claim his crown.
Within a week of the season’s end, Danny was back in the shop already preparing for a 2003 defense of his 2002 title.
