All sorts of Speedway participants and hot rods, dragsters, go
carts, street cars were on hand for the show. Below you see Mr. Wonderful Dave
Holmes talking shop to Citadel's Margot Ray while they look at Chase Chevrolet's
private collection Camaro and Monte Carlo SS, brought over by Gary Pardini. Jo
Shiels mans the NASCAR signup desk meanwhile Dave Holmes sneaks a picture with
the Coors Girls from San Joaquin Beverage. It was hard to maintain with the
smell of the tri-tip sandwiches and brats from Royce's BBQ!!!
Track Announcer Wayne Pierce announced the winners. Jeff Ahl of Lodi won "Most
Coolest Car of the Day" by a vote of the fans attending. Best of show plaques
were awarded to: Donnie Darter #99 ALSC, Joe Racer #1, ALSC, Fred Hatch, #97 Pro
4 Truck, William Cardobo #20 Mini Cup, Johnny Cardoza, GAM #40, Carl Grissom,
1969 Slingshot dragster
