Lisa Marie Hunefeld
Dec. 26, 1954 - Sept. 2, 2005
Lisa Marie Hunefeld, age 50 of San Jose, passed away on Friday, September 2, 2005. She was born on December 26, 1954 in Stockton, CA. She died unexpectedly in San Jose, CA, where she had lived since 1990. She graduated from Lincoln High School and combined education and adventure at Chico State, University of the Pacific, UCLA and World Campus Afloat.
She leaves a large void in the lives of her parents, Bob and Tot Hunefeld, her beloved brother, Chris, his wife, Georgette and their children, Allie and Billy who will miss their Auntie Lisa. She was the granddaughter of the late Mary and Tillio Genetti and Ruth and Billy Hunefeld. She was niece of Anna Narbaitz of Modesto. She also leaves many loving relatives, godchildren, and a large circle of great and good long time friends, and her former husband, Howard De Lano. Precious maverick, her zest for life and living was huge. But her grandest passion in life was being Mom to her cherished children, Annalise, 14, and Sammy, 12. They formed a beautiful triumvirate. Known for having learned to cope with a serious illness since age 13, she was asked by many for counseling and guidance. She gave it willingly. Lisa was our spark. It was stopped all too soon. She will be in our hearts and minds forever.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, September 14, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Church of the Presentation, 1515 Benjamin Holt Drive, Stockton, CA. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 13 from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at DeYoung Shoreline Chapel, 7676 Shoreline Drive, Stockton, CA 95219. Committal will be private.
Memorial donations may be made in her name to Haggin Museum, 1201 N. Pershing Avenue, Stockton, CA 95201 or a charity of your choice.
Her good friends in San Jose are planning a Memorial Service Thursday, September 15 at 1:00 p.m. in the Municipal Rose Garden, Naglee and Dana Avenues, San Jose, CA
